More than a supplier: NORM as a partner for Corbie Hotels

Renovating hotel rooms involves a great deal more than meets the eye. It's not just about replacing furniture, but about creating a complete experience where comfort, appearance and functionality come together. Every choice has an impact on the guest's experience, but also on daily use and maintenance. Finding the right partner is therefore a crucial step in the process. For Corbie Hotels, it all started with a targeted search and grew into a lasting partnership with NORM.

From search to partnership

For the renovation of multiple hotel rooms, Corbie Hotels was looking for a partner capable of combining quality, flexibility and reliability. The project went beyond simply supplying standard furniture. The interior had to be tailored to the hotel's specific needs while guaranteeing a consistent appearance throughout.

In a market where international suppliers are also active, the deliberate choice was made for a local player. That choice was not only driven by practical considerations such as communication and follow-up, but also by trust and commitment. Working with a nearby partner makes it possible to act more swiftly and collaborate more closely. The value for money also played an important role. The focus was not on the lowest price, but on striking a balance between cost, quality and long-term durability.

From idea to design

The first introduction took place digitally and formed an important foundation for the further collaboration. Clear communication and a shared vision ensured that the project could be launched with confidence.

At the start, Corbie Hotels had a number of concrete ideas for the interior design of the rooms. These provided a clear direction, but had not yet been developed into a complete design. NORM's role was to translate this input into visual and technical solutions. By actively thinking along and bringing proposals to life, a design emerged that met both the aesthetic and functional objectives of the project. The original vision was preserved, while being strengthened by professional development and technical expertise.

Collaboration in practice

During the execution of the project, continuous alignment was central. Regular communication made it possible to adjust quickly and refine decisions, ensuring an efficient process and clear progress. NORM took on an active role by not only executing, but also contributing ideas on optimisations and practical solutions. On the technical side, attention was also paid to aspects such as assembly, placement and ease of use. This is essential in a hotel environment where efficiency and durability must go hand in hand.

Scale and flexibility

The project covered multiple locations and a considerable scale. At Corbie Mol, 27 rooms were tackled, while at Corbie Lommel a further 35 rooms were furnished. In total, more than 60 rooms were involved. At that scale, uniformity was required, but so was flexibility. Not all rooms had the same layout, making custom work a necessity. This variation was integrated without compromising the coherence of the whole.

Sustainability and use

Sustainability plays an increasingly important role in hotel operations. This project took that into deliberate consideration as well. Choosing a local partner helps to limit transport and its associated impact. Attention was also paid to material use and longevity. Hotel furniture must withstand intensive use while maintaining its quality over the long term. An interior must last for several years without losing functionality or appearance. This combination of sustainable choices and solid execution ensures that the project retains its value in the long term.

Satisfaction and result

The collaboration was evaluated positively, both in terms of process and final result. The direct communication, personal contact and ability to act swiftly all contributed to the smooth running of the project. The final realisation of the furniture also meets all expectations. The combination of quality, finish and price delivers a result that is experienced as particularly well-balanced. The translation of initial ideas into concrete solutions has proven to be a significant added value.

The end result forms a coherent whole in which design, functionality and use are perfectly aligned. What started as a search for a suitable partner grew into a collaboration where communication, flexibility and mutual trust are at the heart of everything.
